chris hansen is a dickhead. I can't say that what he does is wrong or right. I dont feel that either party should be doing what they do. But damn, is there not some sort of law against this? also does this not infringe on the 5th amendment right not to incriminate oneself. Chris Hansen comes across as this complete screwball without giving them the right to defend themselves. Guilty is the attitude. The people are being setup online by the crew and team of this scumbag (could be anyway)

this is terrible on both sides. My opinion. Screw off, both parties.

Chris Hansen has a great sense of humor, and if you didn't notice, NBC produces the show in conjunction with the local Sheriff's Office and Perverted-Justice.com. He is not the creator of the show or anything. He is simply doing his job and he does it well. And is there a law against this? No, there isn't. It is called a sting. The purpose is to deter this sort of behaviour by capturing those who would do it. It is perfectly legal and raises awareness for these kinds of situations and I LOVE that they do it. Maybe you guys shouldn't have sympathy for attempted child-molestors. You'll feel different when you have kids.

He really did get arrested

He really did get arrested guys!

FAIRFIELD CO (Reuters) - Police raided the Stamford Connecticut home of 48 year old Chris Hansen this afternoon. Police have not yet released any information regarding the circumstances of his arrest other than to say that he is being held without bond in a Fairfield County jail. Chris Hansen is best known for his work with Dateline NBC's "How to catch a predator" whose investigations revolve around catching internet sex predators using under cover sting operations. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.62.76.68 (talk) 04:31, 14 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

A valid source must be provided. Until then, I have deleted the allegation.

Does Chris Hansen's dimeanor and even physical attributes remind you of that ass wipe in CSI miami? They must be brothers. They should hang out for a couple days.

Vandalism

All right, this is becoming ridiculous. You can disagree with Chris Hansen and Dateline's methods, but you cannot add random bullshit to his WP entry anonymously. If this keeps happening, I will contact the administrators.
