FK Modriča

FK Modriča Maxima is a football club playing in the town of Modriča, Republika Srpska. The club was founded in 1922 and it is currently active in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Modriča Maxima won the first place in 1. liga Republika Srpske in 2002/2003 season which secured them a place in top level. The club plays at the FK Modriča Maxima Stadium (capacity 4.000) and is sponsored by oil rafinery from the same city.

The club's biggest success came in 2003/2004 season when it won a national cup. After that, Modriča played in the UEFA Cup. It played against FC Santa Coloma of Andorra and won both games, but was later kicked out by Bulgarian side Levski Sofia.

Modriča's fans are called Epidemija. The English translation would be epidemic.
