The City of Tea Tree Gully is in the Australian state of South Australia, in the outer north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide. The city has a population of 95,102 people (2001 census) and is one of the most populous local government divisions in Adelaide.
The major business district in the city is at Modbury, were Tea Tree Plaza and the Civic Centre are based. The City Council holds regular meetings at the Civic Centre. The current mayor of the city is Lesley Purdom AM.
It encompasses a number of suburbs, including Modbury, Ridgehaven, Golden Grove, Fairview Park, Banksia Park, and St. Agnes, as well as Ansteys Hill Recreation Park.
The most prominent person to live in the City of Tea Tree Gully was Howard Walter Florey.
