Hsu Ming-chieh

Ming-Chieh Hsu (Chinese: 許銘傑; pinyin: Xǔ Míng Jié), born December 1, 1976 in Kaohsiung County, Taiwan, is a pitcher for the Seibu Lions. Born and raised in southern Taiwan, Hsu joined a school baseball team since he was in elementary school. Playing for the Chung-Cheng Elementary School baseball team, Hsu participated in the Little League World Series, the team was the winner in 1989. Hsu is famous for his Shuuto.

Professional career

In 1998, Hsu joined the Taichung Agan of the Taiwan Major League. His outstanding performance had been compared with Daisuke Matsuzaka by the Taiwanese media. In 2000, he joined the Seibu Lions of the Pacific League in Japan.

International experience

Hsu has participated in many International baseball events.
