The 2007 UEFA Champions League Final will take place at the Olympic Stadium in Athens on 23 May 2007 between Liverpool and AC Milan, in a repeat of the 2005 Final. Liverpool will wear their red home kit, with Milan sporting their white away strip.[1] They are both in the top three most successful teams in Europe in terms of European Cup titles, with 5 and 6 titles respectively (Real Madrid have won the most with 9 titles). Liverpool's last triumph was in 2005 and AC Milan's was in 2003. The last time a European Cup final took place at this stadium, it was AC Milan - incidentally, wearing their white kit - who beat FC Barcelona 4-0 in the 1994 final.

Match ball
adidas, the official Match Ball supplier to all major UEFA, FIFA and IOC tournaments, unveiled the Official Match Ball for the 2007 UEFA Champions League final on 9 March, presenting the adidas Finale Athens.
The design of the adidas Finale Athens is based on the widely recognisable UEFA Champions League Starball logo and is blue and white, representing the colours of the Greek national flag.[3] The panels of the ball are arranged in the same pattern as the +Teamgeist ball used at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Trivia
- The English FA bid unsuccessfully to host the final at Wembley Stadium.[4]
- Liverpool and AC Milan have the two highest scorers this season in Kaká, who leads the scoring charts with 10 goals, and Peter Crouch, who has 6 goals so far. It is highly unlikely that Kaká will be deposed as the top scorer in the Champions League this season, as Crouch would need to score four goals just to draw level with him, provided Kaká doesn't score in the final.
