Please read Wikipedia:Cleanup process for instructions on maintaining this page. If you are here because you have found a page that needs attention, please:
Some editors prefer that helpers work on leftovers and older articles first, just to deal with them and get them out of the way. But either preference, new or old, all help is appreciated. If you have a cleanup routine, add your name and your routine preferences (how often, old/new articles, what subjects, etc ) to the cleanup routine list. Also remember that you can submit an article in need of cleanup to the Cleanup Taskforce (which is also always looking for members). |

- Araña is once again becoming a complete mess. The plot synopsis is bloated and convoluted, there's loads of HTML code in there, and atrocious spelling and grammar. --Pc13 09:58, 2005 May 16 (UTC)
The lists of encyclopedia topics could do with renumbering.
Why had all the entries from 8 May to present "vanished"?

- Lara Roxx - needs references which document that she got HIV from Darren James, or leaves us open to a lawsuit. RickK 21:18, May 15, 2005 (UTC)
- FairTax - needs significant work on NPOV and in some cases spelling as well. Pakaran 02:18, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
- Words hardest to translate - I fixed the grammar up a little bit and tried to organize the page, but it seems to be about two different things. First, it talks about a list of words named "Words hardest to translate," by a British company. Then later, it leaves that topic to talk about specific difficulties in translation and also a small note about certain that are easy to translate. Maybe it should be divided into two articles, one about the list and another about problems in translation. FuzzyOnion 22:49, May 15, 2005 (UTC)
- Infantilism - Horrible article with way too many sections, some of which are useless, and section 'A list of known abusers on the net' is definitely not encyclopedia material. Wikipedia is not a campaign ground regardless of issue. - Mithent 15:34, 15 May 2005 (UTC)
- So the list is a bit out of line, but the complexity of ABDL and Infantilism is extensive. We have cleaned it up before and deleted certain sections. But if you have not read the whole article, you can not say it is a horrible article. And which sections would be useless may I ask? Read the whole article and then we can debate what needs to be cleaned up, but I doubt you know very much about ABDL yourself. --OrbitOne 16:02, 15 May 2005 (UTC)
- We have removed the suggested section regarding known abusers as per your suggestion, as well as many of the sections that we believed might not be necessary. Your input is appreciated. If there are any other specific suggestions you might have, they would be appreciated. Meanwhile we have removed the Cleanup notice. Thanks for your interest and advice on this article.
- Scott P. 16:22, May 15, 2005 (UTC)
- Well, generally I was referring to the organisation in the article - it's informative, certainly, but it has a huge number of sections, some of which are extremely short. Most are only one paragraph long, and I feel that merging such things as 'Loss of Power' elsewhere would be a good idea. There's some description of splitting the article on the Talk page, and I think that might also be a good idea. I don't really know about ABDL, no. I'll be quiet about this now and leave it to your own editing. -- Mithent 16:29, 15 May 2005 (UTC)
- Thankyou for your understanding. We will try to clean up sections, but I have plans about expanding loss of power. I might make it into an article of its own in relation to sexual slavery fantasy. --OrbitOne 16:38, 15 May 2005 (UTC)

- Dancing Eagle - looks like a candidate for deletion even.. meh. Yorick, Jester of Elsinore 11:53, 2005 May 12 (UTC)
- History of the Balkans - was COTW, enormous amounts of text were added but some sections are still blank, and what is already there could probably use colloborative editing. --Tothebarricades.tk 19:37, May 11, 2005 (UTC)
- Shrivel - combination stub/disambiguation/extended dictdef. page that also needs wikification. --Dcfleck 00:24, 2005 May 12 (UTC)
- Parts of this were so badly written they may have been a joke (DiHyrdogen oxide...instead of saying water?). I threw away a lot of junk. Now it may need some expansion. RJFJR 01:43, May 12, 2005 (UTC)

- Soulcake - chunk of text written in the first person followed by another (unwikified) chunk of text cut and pasted from [1]. (It's credited, but may still be a copyright issue.)
- Ibrahim 'Ali Salman
I'd like other editor's opinions beofre listing this on VFD. Doesn't get any google hits. I tagged it as a candidate for tanswiki to Wikisource as soon as it appeared, but I'm still unsure of its place in wikipedia at all. The JPS 10:53, 11 May 2005 (UTC) - The Social Sciences and Philosophy Requested Articles list [2] has been duplicated several times in the last few days, so that it is now several times longer than it should be. This may have been my fault. I was trying to remake the History, Politics and People sections in to some semblance of logical order, and was having (slow) connections problems at the same time. Sorry seems an insufficient comment. Also cannot revert the page to an earlier state because of the connection/site problem.

- Ombra mai fù - I almost marked this as patent nonsense, but it turns out this sloppy mess is an opera by Georg Friedrich Handel. Someone with the time and inclination to fix it up, please? DS 20:00, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
- Actually, it's not a Handel opera itself; it's an aria from Handel's opera Serse which makes it less encyclopedic than it would be if it were an opera itself. Also, the plot as described in this entry does not match the plot listed at Serse. --Metropolitan90 22:30, May 10, 2005 (UTC)

- Boob tube - currently a dictionary definition that thinks it's a disambiguation page.
- A disambiguation page is supposed to link to other, more specific pages, not just act as a dictionary definition. As such, it is silly to have Tube top just linking to here. Moreover, Wikipedia is not a dictionary.
- Three possible solutions:
- If someone's in a position to create an adequate Tube top article, by all means do it, and then put back the link to it back on Boob tube.
- Delete Tube top - then the link can be put back and Boob tube will be that little bit more like a dab page again
- Delete Boob tube - it's already got a Wiktionary entry (though not a very good one) anyway.

- Across the River and Into the Trees - lifted from an external article; possible plagiarism. --JMBell 12:56, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

- Use-define chain - language
- Word salad - First paragraph and rest of the article have absolutly nothing to do with eachother. --216.159.156.214 07:18, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I split the article in two. *Kat* 07:37, Apr 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Habsburg - seems to be having an identity crisis. Not sure if it is a list, an article or a coalition of formats. *Kat* 06:41, Apr 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Suggested splitting into two articles on talk page. Crazynas 05:27, Apr 11, 2005 (UTC)
- Leesa and Laura Andrew - I suspect that this whole page is a hoax, but am far from sure. Could someone take a look and see if they think if deserves to be listed on VfD? Lupin 06:10, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Karl Zell - unwikified copy-and-paste from the Catholic Encyclopedia --Tothebarricades.tk 03:30, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Wikified, categorized, modified some of the blatant pov to a more npov, removed a couple of statements to the discussion page. Still needs work by somebody more familiar with the subject.*Kat* 07:23, Apr 10, 2005 (UTC)
- Republic (Plato) - Needs improvement. Not presented very coherently. --Tothebarricades.tk 03:19, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Pancho Villa - "Nevertheless, Carranza delayed to Villa by the proximity of other heads, specially the sonorenses, reason why Villa began to also separate of the Maximum Head of the Revolution. In 1914, Carranza mentioned a convention of the revolutionary forces, to file harshness among them, without obtaining its objective, because Villa seized of the convention, in Aguascalientes, and broke relations with Carranza, nominating a new president of the Republic, Villa took, with the General Emiliano Zapata, the city of Mexico, having Carranza that to flee towards the port of Veracruz. But then the sonorense Alvaro Obregón, constitutionalist commander of the forces of Carranza, calls, began to beat to those of Villa, convencionistas calls, until managing to annihilate them, in the famous battle of Celaya, where Obregón lost an arm. Villa looked for the recognition of the United States, for his government, and as he did not obtain it, he visited the border population of Columbus, where he take weapons" etc etc. Is this just a poor translation or is the result of setting a computerised translator loose (presumably on a Spanish version)? Either way, it seems to need help, and I am afraid my Mexican history really isn't up to much, so I really don't understand enough of the context to fix it. Could anybody assist? There doesn't seem to be any of the original language left so I didn't list it on pages needing translation. VivaEmilyDavies 01:40, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Location of jerusalem temple needs wikification. --Redattack34 19:36, Apr 10, 2005 (UTC)

- Torizo - Needs spelling, grammar, and merge from Golden Torizo.--Zxcvbnm 18:40, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I cleaned the article up a lot. Someone might still want to work on it. By the way, Golden Torizo redirects to Torizo. --Redattack34 19:44, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)
- Randall Terry — I added a paragraph on NOW v. Scheidler, a 1994 Supreme Court case in which he was named co-defendant; the case pertained to the application of RICO, under which Terry settled out of court in 1998. However, it still needs work, especially with regards to POV. It is currently in chronological order, but the order is not entirely logical.
- Presbyterian Youth Connection needs wikification, cleanup, and organization. I'm not sure this article is notable enough for Wikipedia. If anyone wants to they could check that out. --Redattack34 02:19, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)
- I reworked/reformatted into sections, wikified, still needs some factual help tho. Crazynas
- Samer Issa - Needs wikification and cleanup. Might not be notable enough. --Redattack34 20:02, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)
- I reworked and reformatted this entry. I know absolutely nothing about him, so this is as good as I can do. The original author of this entry created several other pages that badly need cleanup, I'll go do those next. - Rjhatl 23:09, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)

- Talk:Papal election needs updating for clarity - ie references to "the present pope" etc.
- Dina Powell - Lacks context, wikification
- Hasni - an article might be justifiable, but this is PoV, not wikified, poorly structured, the title should be Cheb Hasni - his full name, and what have you.
- Plato Cacheris - needs basic bio info and copyediting
- In the page on Lead please rewrite this sentence: The origin of the name of the fruit called a plum is not related. (i.e. not related to Latin word plumbum meaning lead).
- That was crazy! It was way harder than it looked. I came up with, "The word "plum" (the fruit) is of a different origin altogether and is unrelated."
- I found out where plum actually came from. It's an Old English word. Mr. Internet 17:48, Apr 8, 2005 (UTC)
- Fjortis undoubtedly refers to a real phenomenon and is IMHO worth its own entry, but at the moment, it's in dire need of NPOVing. Phrases such as "Sweden's biggest (and most hated) community" don't seem very encyclopedic, either. It'd be great if someone who's familiar with the Swedish version of the underage girls drinking themselves silly should take a look at this. Captain Disdain 01:05, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Belstone - apparently some town or village in England. Looks like an article/book summary (but Google brought up no copyvio). Needs abridging, wikifying, context. - Marcika
- I've removed the tag following some fairly extensive cleanup. But I wouldn't like to remove any more material than has gone already. - Martpol
- St. Cloud State University - seriously POV praise for the university in a non-encyclopedic writing style. - Marcika 02:06, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Wow. That was awful. I did a quick rewrite of the page to remove the POV stuff and the vandalism that occured afterward. Rjhatl 02:53, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Little green men - I've been going through the synonyms for extraterrestrial life and found this page. It appears to be about the discovery of pulsars, but has the title "Little Green Men". No clear explaination for this title is given. It probably needs to be merged with the pulsars article. -Acjelen
- Intro/references added and Pulsar information moved into a sub-section. More is probably needed though. — RJH 17:16, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

- David Bawden: I suspect i'd ask for PoV clnup if i could understand what it's saying ('Calling him an "anti-pope" would undoubtedly be inaccurate as to all appearances the following he has, compared to Pope John Paul II, is minuscule, making him comparable to other similar pretenders to the Papal name, like ...').--Jerzy (t)
- Pooja Batra needs bio & heavy copy edit to Filmography --Jerzy (t)
- First French Empire is heavily laden with 1911 Britannica POV, and maybe some factual errors as well. There's been some discussion on the talk page. We all seem to agree it's a problem, but no one involved has considered themselves expert enough to really take it on. -- Jmabel | Talk 21:27, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)

- Panarchy - Right now, this article is little more than a collection of quotes by various panarchist writers. I don't know enough about the subject to clean it up myself. -- Mihnea Tudoreanu 21:49, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Orders of Council - needs much work. It's a stub dealing with one highly specific historical use of this much more general and widely-used term. Grutness|hello? 12:12, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
