Nicholas Teo (simplified Chinese: 张栋梁; traditional Chinese: 張棟樑; pinyin: Zhāng Dòngliáng; born November 29 1981), also known as Nicholas Zhang, is a Malaysian singer signed under Play Music. Before he came back to Malaysia, he was studying in Taiwan and won the Best Singer in the whole Taiwan for Universities competition. Someone came to find him and asked him to sign under their company as a back-up singer (backing vocalist, to harmonise with the lead vocalist), Nicholas ignored. He came back to Malaysia after his studies and joined a singing competition,'Astro Talent Quest', he won (1st place) with the song 黃昏(Huanghun) by Zhou Chuan Xiong. Then he started his career in Taiwan.
