Deportivo Alavés, usually abbreviated to Alavés, is a Spanish Primera División football club based in Vitoria (Gasteiz) in the Basque Country. They play at the 19,500 seater Mendizorroza stadium.

The team's home kit is blue and white striped shirt, blue shorts and white socks. Alavés reached the UEFA Cup final in 2001, losing 5-4 to Liverpool. Although Alavés was relegated after the 2003-04 season, the regained their top flight status in a year.
