Tupac: Resurrection is the soundtrack to the movie of the same name in 2003 (Tupac: Resurrection), so it does not feature slapped together re-mixes with producers that flaunt below-average beat portfolios.
Review
This CD features previously underplayed tracks by 2Pac along with a few new tracks produced by rap artist Eminem and a colloboration with another rap Artist 50 Cent which was first heard on bootleg street mixtapes. The underplayed tracks range from various albums over 2Pac's career. "Death Around the Corner", Me Against the World; "Secretz of War", Still I Rise; "Holler if You Hear Me", Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.; "Starin' Through My Rear View", Gang Related Soundtrack; "Bury Me a G" and Str8 Ballin', Thug Life Volume 1; "Same Song", This is an EP Release, "Panther Power", one of 2Pac's earliest recordings(1989); "Rebel of the Underground", 2Pacalypse Now. The Eminem produced tracks "Ghost", "One Day at a Time", and "Runnin'" are standouts. "The Realist Killaz" is the result of an unreleased 2Pac verse being mixed a verse from rap artist 50 Cent as he disses another unnamed rapper JaRule. Thit soundtrack is praised by fans and reviewers alike. The documentary, Tupac: Resurrection also received an Academy Award nomination for best Documentary.
