Requests for IP check

This page lists requests to identify and block the IP addresses behind attack and vandal accounts that were previously listed at Requests for checkuser/IP check. After the account has been reported as blocked or declined by the checkusers, the report is moved here for seven days (most recent sections at the bottom), after which it is deleted. Because there is no attempt to establish a relationship with a puppetmaster account, no separate archive is kept, other than the page history.

Clerks: when clearing this page, please make note of the names of the sections you are deleting in the edit summary.

Tile join

More User:Tile join socks. Might be time to sweep and block the sleeper socks. Tim Vickers (talk) 21:20, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed - the usual bucketload of them. I'm only mentioning the non-blocked ones here as the vast majority are already dealt with :

  1. Ray gull (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  2. Soovt (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  3. Ykeec (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  4. Qroo (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  5. 2 Jur (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  6. X c t e (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  7. Des Bal (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
 IP blocked - a bunch of them - Alison 22:50, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Different template vandal

Identical vandalism across several different templates, not sure if this is a returning vandal or someone new. Returns with a new account each time about an hour after being blocked. Anything you can do about this will be appreciated. --Bongwarrior (talk) 23:55, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note: 125.244.11.194 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) has just gotten into the act. --Bongwarrior (talk) 00:49, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism on Tupton Hall School article

The article Tupton Hall School, is being vandalised by several accounts, and in the last few days it has increased almost to one account per day. Each makes one edit and the nothing else, so giving out warnings will have no effect. --Snigbrook (talk) 12:18, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added two new accounts that vandalised the article today. --Snigbrook (talk) 18:52, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

IP blocked - hardblocked. All accounts originate from one IP, though it doesn't look like it's a shared IP. There are dozens and dozens of sock accounts under here. Dunno if you want them listed, but I can go ahead if you like. Or I can just block them, either way, they'll not edit nor create more from that IP. Over to you - Alison 06:41, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can you list them, so you don't have to block them all yourself, and so we have a record of all the socks, should it be needed later on? Thanks! Nwwaew (Talk Page) (Contribs) (E-mail me) 07:41, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This abusive account was created on July 9 and immediately set out to revert every edit made by Rjecina (talk · contribs) from the previous day. During the time that PravdaRuss was making his edits, Rjecina received a threat on his Croatian Wikipedia talk page. PravdaRuss was indef blocked per this thread on ANI. The underlying IP may need to get blocked in order to stop the abuse. SWik78 (talkcontribs) 18:47, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Additional information needed - has there been further abuse since the account has been blocked? - Alison 06:09, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There has been no abuse of Rjecina since the account was blocked but the concern is that Rjecina seems to have been followed by presumably the same user to the Croatian Wiki where a threat was made against him and the account seems to have been created for the sole purpose of harassing Rjecina. SWik78 (talkcontribs) 12:41, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I spoke too soon. Fiumina (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki) is an account created today and seems to be following the exact same pattern of reverting anything Rjecina did. SWik78 (talkcontribs) 12:49, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Add to that Fiumena (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki) (slight spelling difference) although this one has been blocked as abusive already. SWik78 (talkcontribs) 13:05, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tile join

More User:Tile join socks. Sleeper sweep and IP block please. Tim Vickers (talk) 17:25, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added Ten far (talk · contribs). --Snigbrook (talk) 17:49, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, well this should be controversial. The following are the list of usual  Confirmed Tile join socks:
  1. Domedra (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  2. Ten far (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  3. 4 trin (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  4. Byrll (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)

.. and so on. Lots of other, already blocked ones.

IP blocked - a few of them.
There is one other account that appears again and again in Tile join checkuser requests, which I'd not named to-date. However, due to the nature of the edits and the incredibly close edit times, the repeated sharing of the one IP address and the fact that this account edits from the same IP as a number of other socks concurrently and that they are the only account out of maybe 40 or 50 from a single IP that isn't blocked, that they share multiple, disparate IP ranges, etc, etc, I'm stating that the following account is  Confirmed as a good-ish hand sock of Tile join;
  1. Wfgh66 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
- Alison 18:08, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Serial hoaxer

These three accounts have created (TheHumbleTomato) and recreated (RombusMan) the deleted hoax article Haxsasauras, then, when the latter title was salted, recreated the content in the now deleted Haxassauras (SpaceFT). I'd like someone to check if these are, in fact (as seems exceedingly likely) the same user. If so, can something be done about the underlying IP? J. Spencer (talk) 00:50, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed - the accounts below as being the same editor:
  1. TheHumbleTomato (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  2. RombusMan (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  3. TeddySquare (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
The editor, SpaceFT (talk · contribs) is  Possible
 IP blocked, but not SpaceFT's - Alison 18:47, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
