Signalling Connection and Control Part, from ITU-T recommendation Q.713, is the routing protocol for Signalling System 7 networks. Its function is similar to that of IP on the Internet, given a origination and destination address SCCP delivers the message across multiple hops to the destination machine. SCCP uses two forms of addresses Point Code and Sub System Number or Global Titles.
