Java Business Integration

Java Business Integration (JBI) is a Java_Community_Process initiative for an approach to implementing a service_oriented_architecture. The JCP reference is JSR208.

Although JBI is intended for use with ESB, its adoption has not been accepted by the larger J2EE vendors that have their own ESB / ESB ready products [1]. There are however Open-source_software JBI based ESB implementations available, one being ObjectWeb [2].
