The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum is an educational plan for California community college students designed to facilitate transferring to a four-year public university. Completion of the IGETC will permit a student to transfer without the need to take additional lower-division courses, as well as demonstrate preparedness and ability to handle college level work.

As of 2005, the IGETC covers the areas of English communication, quantitative reasoning, arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences as well as physical and life sciences. Depending on the intended transfer institution, additional requirements may be required. For example, the University of California requires a foreign language course, while the California State University requires an American Institutions grouping consisting of two American history and government courses.
