14ª Coppa d’Europa di rugby a 15 per club
Template:Infobox Heineken CupLa Heineken Cup 2008/09 fu la 14ª edizione della coppa d'Europa di rugby XV per club.
Disputatasi tra il 10 ottobre 2008 e il 23 maggio 2009[1] tra 24 club europei provenienti da Francia, Galles, Inghilterra, Irlanda, Italia e Scozia, si tenne secondo la forma consueta a 6 gironi per determinare le otto squadre della fase finale a eliminazione (le sei vincitrici di ciascun girone più le migliori seconde classificate).
Lo spareggio italo-celtico non si tenne, in quanto la Federazione Italiana Rugby non poté indicare per tempo la squadra che avrebbe dovuto parteciparvi, essendo lo spareggio previsto per il 31 maggio 2008, data in cui era in programma la finale di ritorno del campionato italiano[2]; a seguito di tale rinuncia italiana il 24° club provenne direttamente dalla Celtic League senza necessità di spareggiare; a qualificarsi furono i gallesi del Newport Gwent Dragons.
Nella finale, disputatasi allo stadio di Murrayfield di Edimburgo, gli irlandesi del Leinster vinsero il loro primo titolo di campione d'Europa, battendo 19-16 gli inglesi del Leicester.
