Guda was a 12th century nun and illuminator. She created a self-portrait in an initial letter in a Homeliary (now in the the Frankfort am Main, Staatsbibliothek). Along with her self-portrait, she wrote an inscription, "Guda, a sinner, wrote and painted this book."
