Wikimedia Philippines/Resolutions/Proposed/Philippine Communities
General Policy
The Chapter recognizes the role of localized communities in developing their own programs that will benefit their respective Wikimedia projects. A Community serves as an arm of the Chapter that will advance its objective to promote the projects of the Wikimedia Foundation.
Communities
- A Community is a group of Chapter members aiming to develop a local Wikimedia project/s or to further the reach of the Chapter in a specific locality.[1]
Recognition
- Any group of at least three (3) regular members[2] may establish a Community in coordination with other members of the Chapter.

Administration
- The Board of Trustees shall have direct supervision of Communities, and shall refer to them matters and issues that directly affect them before making any decision.
- Communities must designate a coordinator to the Board, who must be a regular member and shall be responsible in communicating with a their respective community
Projects
- A Community may develop their own programs and projects, determine their manner and program implementation depending on their respective need.

- Funding of Community projects not included in the Chapter's Annual Program Plan may be source funding from the Microgrants Fund maintained by the Chapter upon the project's approval.
