java.net is a Java technology related community website. It also offers a web-based source code repository for Java projects.

History

java.net was announced by Sun Microsystems during JavaOne 2003[1].

Oracle has recently announced that they will migrate java.net portal to Project Kenai codebase, and will encourage users to move their Kenai projects to java.net[2][3][4]
