Monkey Magic was a television cartoon series that aired in the 1990s about a monkey who uses his handy extending power staff and nimbus cloud to save the world from evil. A total of 52 episodes aired. It is based on the Chinese classical novel Journey to the West. It's a really good cartoon that explains where the extending power staff and flying nimbus from dragon ball come from.
