Rank 1 è un gruppo olandese di musica trance, formatosi in Olanda nel 1997. Largamente riconosciuti come i creatori della sonorità trance olandese, essi hanno prodotto molte hit da dancefloor. Nonostante i due componenti del gruppo (Benno De Goeij e Piet Bervoets) avessero già lavorato insieme in precedenza, Rank 1 fu il loro primo progetto con successo commerciale.

La loro più grande hit commerciale fu nel 1999 Airwave, che raggiunse il decimo posto nella UK Singles Chart e il venticinquesimo nella U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. Questo fu poi nuovamente rilasciato sempre da Rank 1 remixato e con l'aggiunta di una parte cantata e prese il nome di Breathing(Airwave 2003), fu anche usato come base per il mash up con Donna Williams dal titolo True Love Never Dies, a cui fu in seguito aggiunta la parte vocale e re-registrata co Kelly Llorenna dei Flip and Fill.
Sono anche conosciuti con l'alias R.O.O.S.', Pedro & Benno e A.I.D.A.
