Shortcut

WikiProject Buffy is an attempt to organize, categorize, and standardize articles about the Buffyverse (Buffy, Angel, Fray, & its novels/comics). All Buffyverse articles can be found at this index. This immense project needs many writers, editors, readers, researchers, etc. Anyone with a knowledge/interest in the Buffyverse is welcome to join this project. Feel free to contact members for help getting to grips with everything.

Goals

Scope - Project focuses on objective canon (for a discussion of what is/isn't "canon", see article here. It excludes the Roleplaying Games, the Cardgames, fanfic, "digital seasons", webcomics, and other unlicensed works. At the moment wikipedia Firefly efforts are independant of this project.

Noncanon material can be discussed but the distinction has to be very sharp, and canon materials take priority. We need to ensure that nonofficial information cannot be mistaken for official information.

Short Term

  1. implement naming conventions for Buffyverse articles
  2. continue implementing format conventions for
    1. characters
    2. episodes - progress of episode articles can be seen here.

Long Term

  1. re-categorize Buffyverse articles (incl. a parent category with browsable and specific subcategories)
  2. implement a more seamless browsability between articles

If there is not enough information available for a particular character, they maybe better suited in a merged article (e.g. Other Vampire Slayers, other potential merged character articles might be: Watchers, Wolfram & Hart various executives positions and Sunnydale High Principals).

The infobox already implemented on most character articles is specifically for Buffyverse characters.

This includes places, concepts, groups, monsters, etc. A monster with dialogue graduates to 'character' status (e.g. Kakistos or The Beast)
