Usage

Issues

Currently only IE8 and above support rendering the text in top-to-bottom, left-to-right format. The browsers Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari will render as left-to-right, top-to-bottom. Browsers are awaiting stabilization of the CSS3 specification for this type of rendering. See also

For Webkit and Firefox nightlies, it seems

-webkit-writing-mode:vertical-lr;-moz-writing-mode:vertical-lr;

works, but there are so many rendering issues, that they are probably better off not being enabled yet.

For MediaWiki issues regardring this: bugzilla:9436

Non-Font

When Daicing font set to be the EUDC,

  • ZERO WIDTH JOINER at the head-place does not work.
  • NIRUGU does not work.t
  • NARROW NO-BREAK SPACE deos not work.

Font issues

  1. MB 5.00 does not match Unicode Standard, please upgrade it to MB 5.01 (KB929763);
  2. Under certain situations ‍ᠶ‍ is incorrectly rendered as ‍ᠢ‍ or ᠵ‍ in MB 5.01 and MU 2.37;
  3. ᡓ‍ is incorrectly rendered as ᠴ‍ in MU 2.37;
  4. MB 5.01 does not render ᡯᡳ correctly (we may use ᡯᡳ᠌ instead in MB).
