Administrative Region of Slobozia is an administrative region of Transnistria, an unrecognized country, that has declared itself independent of Moldova. Its seat is Slobozia. Slobozia is located at 46°44′N 29°42′E / 46.733°N 29.700°E, in the South of Transnistria, South of its capital Tiraspol. The city had a population of 19,000 at the census in 1989. The population of the city is mostly made up of Romanians, while Russians and Ukrainians are important minorities.
