Beat Boy is the third release (neglecting the "Fade to grey single collectio")was called Beat boy. There were two single releases from the album, the first one Love glove and the second Beat boy. Both came out in two formats a 7" and a 12" containing extra remixes. The album was recorded and released after the departure of 4 of the original members (Midge Ure, Billy Currie,Dave Formula andJohn McGeoch) giving the album a different sound to the previous releases of the band. Did the first two albums have a typical New Romantic/Punk feel, this one turned into a mixture of those with (American) rock. Both the singles and the album did not have the impact hoped for and marked the end of Visage as a recording act. Up until this day Beat boy is the onely Visage album never released on CD. Some of the tracks were released on a compilation called The Masters.
