Edward Ord

Edward Otho Cresap Ord (Cumberland, 18 ottobre 1818 – L'Avana, 22 luglio 1883) è stato un generale statunitense che partecipò alle guerre Seminole, alle guerre indiane ed alla guerra di secessione americana.

Comandò un esrcito nella fase finale della guerra di secessione, e fu fondamentale nella resa del generale Confederato Robert Edward Lee. Progettò la costruzione di Fort Sam Houston. Morì a L'Avana, Cuba, a causa della febbre gialla.
