Todd Caldecott

Todd Caldecott is a well known clinical herbalist, Ayurvedic practitioner and author of the textbook "Ayurveda: The Divine Science of Life" (release date, October 2006). The text is a comprehensive introduction to the theory and practice of Ayurveda, and discusses the practical use of therapies such as diet, exercise, yoga, meditation, massage, and herbal remedies. The book also includes detailed information on Ayurvedic pharmacology and pharmacy, clinical methods and examinations, and general treatment protocols. Plus, a helpful section provides a comprehensive materia medica of 50 Indian herbs that include botanical descriptions, traditional Ayurvedic knowledge, constituent data and the latest medical research, as well as clinical indications, formulations, and dosages,

Todd Caldecott is also the former clinical director of the Wild Rose College of Natural Healing in Calgary, AB, where he developed a three year clinical program in Western herbal medicine.

In previous years, Todd Caldecott (AKA Todd Shaffer) worked as a film and television actor, appearing in several television shows including Wiseguy, 21 Jumpstreet, Dangerbay, a number of MOWs ("movie-of-weeks"), and two feature films including Fear and Friday the 13th, part 8.
