PCD is the debut album released by The Pussycat Dolls on September 13, 2005 via A&M Records. It peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200 album chart and #7 on the UK Top 75 album chart. Since then it has gone on to re-enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200 in its 45th week on the chart thanks to the popularity of its single, "Buttons" The album has gone on to sell over 2 million copies in the US and over 5 million worldwide. In Australia, the album reached the top 10 in the ARIA albums chart for the first time on 30 July, 2006, after being in the top 50 for 35 weeks. So far six singles have been released off the album, "Don't Cha", which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Stickwitu", "Beep","Buttons", "I Dont Need A Man" and "Wait a Minute" wich is their new single. The tracks are a mixture of contemporary R&B originals and cover versions. There are also a number of jazz influenced tracks (tracks 7, 10, 11, 12, 13). A new version of the album will be released on November, 21 and will contain remixes like "Buttons" Feat. Snoop Dogg, "Stickwitu" Feat. Avant and some ring tones. http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=&sql=10:arkqikktbbc9

Notes

1: Track 7, "Hot Stuff (I Want You Back)", is a mash-up of two songs: the verses are from Siobhan Fahey's 2002 song "Bitter Pill" (with altered lyrics); the chorus is from Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff"

Lead vocalist Nicole Scherzinger co-wrote three tracks including the bonus track "Flirt".

The bonus track "We Went as Far as We Felt Like Going" is a version of a Bob Crewe/Kenny Nolan song. It was first recorded by Tim Curry (1973, released 1990), then a 1975 single by Labelle. The Dolls' version first appeared on the 2004 soundtrack to Shark Tale. Crewe and Nolan also wrote Labelle's previous hit "Lady Marmalade".

Track 5, the 'album version' of "Buttons", does not feature Snoop Dogg; the 'single version' does.
