Simon Walter Hackett is the founder and managing director of Internode Systems, Agile Communications and Stemme Australia, the Australian representative of Stemme AG.[1] He is also a board member of the Australian Network for Arts and Technology.[2]
Hackett is a former board member of the Adelaide Fringe Festival and m.Net Corporation.[3] He co-founded and is a former director of The Internet Society of Australia,[4] and is the founding and current president of the South Australian Internet Association.[3]
He created the Internet Toaster quite a while ago.[5]
He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Adelaide, holding a Bachelors Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.
He is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society.[6]
Hackett is frequently active in the Internode forum on Whirlpool.[7]
This Simon Hackett is not related to Simon Hackett Wines in McLaren Vale 50 km south of Adelaide.
