Unforgiven (2008) è stata l'undicesima ed ultima edizione dell'omonimo pay-per-view prodotto dalla World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), svoltosi il 7 settembre 2008 alla Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Antefatto
A SummerSlam, CM Punk sconfisse John "Bradshaw" Layfield per mantenere il World Heavyweight Championship. Nella puntata di Raw del 18 agosto, il general manager Mike Adamle annunciò che Punk avrebbe difeso il World Heavyweight Championship contro JBL, Batista, John Cena e Kane in un Championship Scramble match ad Unforgiven. La settimana successiva, a Raw, Adamle tolse Cena dal Championship Scramble match di Unforgiven, in seguito ad un infortunio rimediato da quest'ultimo contro Batista a SummerSlam, e lo sostituì con il rientrante Rey Mysterio. Tuttavia, durante il pay-per-view, Randy Orton attaccò CM Punk rendendolo impossibilitato a difendere il World Heavyweight Championship nel Championship Scramble match. Tale match si tenne comunque con il vacante titolo in palio e Chris Jericho sostituì Punk.
