Measures for Evaluation is a guide for individuals, organizations, grantees, or anyone involved in the Wikimedia movement who wants to evaluate their programs. It is a matrix of suggested measures organized by program goals.
There are three overarching goals: (1) Increase participation, (2) Add Quality Content, and (3) Expand Wikimedia's Reach and Readership. These goals are aligned with the Wikimedia movement strategic plan, with additional guidance from research and analytics about the movement. Under each of these goals is a list of Levers for Change or potential strategies for achieving the main goal. None of these levers for change have a complete list of measures and not all measures have tools. Leave feedback about goals, levers for change, or measures on the talk page or let us know if have ideas for tools!
Goals by Program - A few examples
The table below provides some guidance for what a program might work to achieve. This table is not meant to be exhaustive! The goals and levers above could fit just about any program - the idea is to design your program, its goals, and choose the measures that fit best.
