Yunieski Carey Herrera also known as Yuni Carey is a Cuban immigrant to Miami. Her official birth name remains unknown. She is known best as a model, Salsa dancer, vlogger in social media and an activist. She was well admired by most in the Trans Night Club scene, the Domestic Violence Assistance Community and was the winner recipient of many Trans Pagents and humanitarian awards.
Born in Santa Clara on August 12, 1986 it is here at the capital city of the Cuban Province of Villa Clara, where Yuni grew up and attended school. She was also raised by her grandparents and had close affinity with her grandfather whom would shelter her during the transition. He made the rules quite clear that she could be herself at home but to be weary of others. The reason for the move and placement into her grandparents' home was due to mental abuse; Yuni's father threatened to kill her if at any moment she decided to assume a non male gender role. For the most part, her grandparents raised her since birth.
Yuni joined the Volleyball Team and Badminton Team where she claims to have become the "Captain Queen of them boys." She became great at both and ranked first when competing singles at Badminton; her schools volleyball team also ranked 1st and at badminton ranked second. Her first crush was a Water Polo athlete from a different school. Yuni claimed it worked well because Water Polo is a top sport in Cuba. Yuni finally immigrates to Miami with her grandparents but not after her grandfather confessed to having been included in a listed murder plot against Fidel Castro. Her world came tumbling apart from that moment on since she would eventually need to leave Cuba smeared as a political refuge based on the immigration application the family had applied. Yuni was at odds and guilt ridden and questioned her fidelity to her country, Cuba. She fell appart talking with her boyfriend and made it clear she loved Cuba her country of origin. Unfortunately, it was time, she now had no choice but to relocate to Bismark, North Dakota as assigned by the Cuban Refuge authorities. She exclaimed that her whole family in unison asked, "where is that?" The response was "yes, there is a lot of snow and its cold there" and pointed to the US Map. Her grandparent's concern curiously enough humored her transition as Yuni decided to dress up for Holloween. Yes, Yuni was now making her transition. "When will Holloween finally end," her grandparents would ask often. It never ended. Yuni then moves to Miami where she could join the trans female scene. It is in Miami where she becomes a model, Salsa Dancer and activist against Domestic Violence. It is however Los Angeles that would provided her first modeling opportunities. From that day forward, she claims to have been bitten by the modeling bug and would seize any modeling oportunity.
By 2019, Yuni Carey would performed, model and win the crown to The Ms Trans Global in Barcelona. Prior to winning the Trans Global Crown, she would win hands down the Miss Trans Cuba Title repeatedly. She also holds the title for Ms Queen Universe 2006.
Yuni Carey the Beauty Pagent contestant is lesser known for her poetry that follows:
Ms Queen
I don’t need to be Miss International Queen I don’t need to be Miss Continental I don’t need to be Miss Trans Star International I just need to be me and be here. A True Queen inspires all over the world With her legacy and experiences. The love I get and feel from people Around the globe is more then any metal with fake diamonds.
I make my owns dreams I make my own moves I do what I please and desire I say what I feel And when I feel it!
Some will understand And some will not! But at the end of my last breath God will whisper in my ear PROUD OF YOU by #WarriorQueen 👸
Ygor Arrudasouza is accused of stabbing Yuni Carey repeatedly until death on November 18th, 2020. Ygor of Brazilian origin is a local Miami dancer 10 years younger and was her lover spouse upon death. Upon arrival the police at the scene were greeted with Ygor whom voluntarily confessed to the gruesome stabbings of Yuni Carey. He remains in jail without bond. Ygor Arrudasouza is charged with Second Degree Murder. His Miranda Rights were never read since he confessed to the conflict and physical arguments which led to the multiple stabbings. The arguments stemmed from Yuni finding "a better man" to prior domestic issues which involved battery. A knife and fork are being held as exhibits and evidence to the fatal wounds sustained by Yuni Carey. Tuesday November 17th at 4:25 AM Ygor reported during the 911 call that he had just stabbed his girlfriend known as Yuny Carey in her condo a building near the Performing Arts District in down town Miami. The argument which became physical also involved metanphetamine drug use.
Yunieski Carey Herrera was declared dead by local police at the scene not too far from the Versace Mansion, The Villa Casa Causarina Hotel and Restaurant in South Beach Miami. Ygor Arrudasouza is reported prostrated with restraints before a Miami Dade Judge. He appeared with deep sorrow, reverence, grief and unconsolaby shaky. Yuni was 39 years old and the 37th trans killed in the USA in 2020. Ygor had been out on bail since January. Prior records include that by January 2020 Ygor had 3 outstanding charges for battery. In his emotional confessional, like Mass, Ygor claims to deserve any punishment due to him.
Interestingly enough, several months later into 2021 it is reported that a scuffled, struggle and fight included two ladies in the same Miami District. Video footage show that a large woman was stabbing another repeatedly with what appears to be a steak knife. This crime appears to be disconnected from the Ygor Arrudasouza crime. During this same time period, it is reported that a male armed with a gun is following and chasing women around the same district. Those armed appeared to be of african origin.
