L'album è stato anticipato dai singoli "Almost Love"[2] e "Sue Me" e da quelli promozionali "Paris" e "Bad Time".
Il disco
Carpenter ha iniziato a scrivere l'album nel 2016, poco dopo il lancio di EVOLution[3], ma ha iniziato a registrare le canzoni solo nel 2017.[4] Inizialmente doveva essere un'unico album[5], ma successivamente, venne annunciato che sarebbe stato diviso in Act I e Act II.[6]

"Almost Love" è il primo singolo estratto dall'album ed è stato pubblicato il 6 giugno 2018.[8]
Sempre a Billboard, disse:
La canzone è stata scritta da Carpenter stessa, Steph Jones, Nate Campany e Mikkel Storleer Eriksen ed è stata prodotta dagli Stargate. Dal vivo è stata presentata il 2 giugno al Wango Tango[10] e il 1° ottobre nel The Late Late Show with James Corden.[11][12][13]
Il video musicale è stato rilasciato su YouTube il 13 luglio 2018.[14]
Sue Me
"Sue Me" è il secondo singolo ed è stato pubblicato il 9 novembre, lo stesso giorno dell'uscita dell'album.

L'album è stato anticipato anche dai singoli promozionali "Paris" e "Bad Time", pubblicati rispettivamente il 24 ottobre 2018[15] e il 2 novembre 2018.[16][17]
