Windows XP Tablet PC Edition is compatible with a pen-sensitive screen, supporting handwritten notes and portrait-oriented screens. It cannot be purchased separately from a tablet PC.

Versions

There were two versions of Windows XP Tablet PC Edition:

  • Windows XP Tablet PC Edition - The original release.
  • Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 - An upgrade included in Windows XP Service Pack 2.

There will be no further upgrades, as the functionality is now being included in the Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate editions[1] of Windows Vista. {{{{cvg-software-stub}}}}
