MartinBotII on WP:PR
Hello Martin, I just noticed that your bot added the peer review for Cool World twice in a row. I tried looking for possible explantions of the error, but I couldn't locate any. APR t 01:13, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- Uh-oh, look what happened this time, the PR instructions were broken by an accidental inclusion of a new PR. Looks like someone added a regular peer review to Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/Peer review, which must have disrupted something. APR t 22:12, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi Martin, I just created Wikipedia:Africa-related regional notice board/Peer review. I'm not sure if your bot will automatically pick up the new page through categories or if I need to tell you. Also, I noticed a relevant current PR and transcluded it to the board subpage. Given APR's comment above, I take it that this is very bad? - BanyanTree 18:41, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- H Martin, Thanks for your note. I'm a little confused by your note, or maybe I'm the one who is confusing you. My note above was about transcluding Wikipedia:Peer review/Amenhotep I into Wikipedia:Africa-related regional notice board/Peer review. I did this before reading APR's post above about how transclusion of Wikipedia:Peer review/Ralphie into Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/Peer review may have broken the bot. If that is not the case, then there is no problem. Thanks for your assistance! - BanyanTree 22:13, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Oops, it looks like there is a problem. Amenhotep I was added a second time; it is currently both 1.89 and 1.10 on the TOC. Is it possible to modify the bot so it doesn't pick up nominations that are transcluded from other "root pages"? - BanyanTree 00:47, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
NPW
Can you add me please? I'd like to try the program out! I've been using VP, but it crashes way too often! Corpx 06:44, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Favor
Will you please be a second advocate in Wikipedia:AMA Requests for Assistance/Requests/January 2007/Grandmaster? I will do most of the work but I think the more people I get unto this the better. Thanks. --James, La gloria è a dio 02:35, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Template which you deleted
An editor has asked for a deletion review of Template:SerbiaFairUse. Since you closed the deletion discussion for (or speedy-deleted) this article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. --millosh (talk (sr:)) 03:19, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't close the discussion or speedily delete either of the templates :) Martinp23 14:44, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
NPW glitch
I attempted to db-band Chris Gilbreath. Unfortunately, after clicking "band", the program froze. It then said the page appears to have been deleted and refreshed, and it was still there (in NPW and Firefox). I'll let you know if this happens concurrently, it might just be a one time thing. --Wooty Woot? contribs 18:59, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
NPWatcher
I added myself to the requested approval list. Yonatanh 19:23, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Requesting bot again
Hello. If you could run User:MartinBotII/WPStability again at your convenience, it would be greatly appreciated. It looks like a lot of projects were created over the holiday season that I hadn't noticed until now. Badbilltucker 21:18, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
NPWatcher bug
Thanks for providning NPWatcher. I am beginnng to try it out and it seesm promising. Hwover, I just encountered the follwing bug: I selected the page NetApp Bangalore News and tagged it as NN checking also the 'Leave Firstarticle' check-box. The article was tagged correctly, but the Firstarticle note was not placed on the creators talk page User talk:Jhinuk.chowdhury (I set it manuallay) but on User talk:Jhinuk.chowdhury" minor=". Image request
Hi, thanks for tagging Image:MC12 blue.JPG after I gained permission. I have another image (Image:Maserati MC12 Corsa.jpg) with permission and I have sent the email however I sent it on January 21 and the image hasn't been tagged. I was just hoping that you could tag it. I don't want to sound pushy and if there is a backlog or problem then please disregard this message. It's just it was handled so promptly last time and I'm thinking perhaps my email slipped through a gap or something. Thanks again, James086Talk 09:08, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I hope it I didn't skip any queues though. The wait is perfectl fine, I was just thinking the message may have been missed. This is a voluntary project after all so no-one can be blamed for a backlog. Also with your internet troubles I'm very grateful that you found the time to tag it. I'll be sure to thank the author. Thanks again. James086Talk 23:57, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
Ref Desk Bot
ummm, could you restart the ref desk bot. the science, humanities & misc sections are getting too big. --Parker007 00:12, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
NPW Logo license
Hi, can I ask on what license is the logo of NPW released? Thanks and Happy Editing by SnowolfTALK on 14:12, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
I've uploaded it here. I'm using it to build a NPW userbox. Please set the right license on the image's page, or either delete it. Thanks and Happy Editing by SnowolfTALK on 14:33, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Finally created NPW Userbox & category. All info on NPW Talk page. Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk) on 15:45, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
MartinBotII tests for Version 1.0 work
Hi Martin, I was wondering if we could continue the testing of MartinBotII for Version 1.0? Eyu100 has suggested getting rid of the linkranking and rewriting MartinBotII to incorporate a manual method of ranking, because of the bug we saw next time. I'm strongly against that, I'd rather fix the bug if we can and use the linkranking - do you think that is possible? What do you think?
I don't want to be a pest if you're busy, but I know a lot of people are holding their breath waiting for us to get this system working! It really looks to be the only way we will be able to produce something siginificantly better than Version 0.5. Please let me know if you have time to work on this and run some more tests - though of course I understand if you're too busy just now. Thanks a lot! Walkerma 17:52, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply, now I know why things were quiet. I wish you well, trying to sort out things with BT. We can certainly try the manual WikiProject ranking scheme first, whatever you think is best. Let us know when you're back, and thanks, Walkerma 18:03, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
StabilityBot
Just a probably unnecessary reminder that it would be greatly appreciated if the bot listing all of the new projects would be run. Thanks again for all your work with this, your other bots, and your numerous other contributions. Badbilltucker 22:33, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- Under the circumstances, you have no reason to be sorry for it. Circumstances beyond your capacity to control are not something you should feel sorry for. I hope everything gets back to normal there for you soon. Badbilltucker 17:45, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
