History
The Bala Cynwyd Junior High School (now called Bala Cynwyd Middle School) was built in 1938 and founded in 1939 by Jacob Jones and "is still in use for educational purposes". The school is on the National Register of Historic Places, and was renovated in 2002. In the year 1942, two overzealous cults were established in Bala Cynwyd MS due to the "Emotional Baggage" they felt from the effects of World War II. These two groups were called the Eloi and the Morlocks. The Eloi had two groups of people: Technicians and Metamorphises. The Technicians had chips installed inside their heads which enabled them to manipulate all forms of electricity--whether it was in an animate or inanimate object. The Metamorphises could metamorphisize into almost any animal. A few popular ones were, the yellow-bellied antlion, the glass-toed scorpion, the howler-cheese monkey, and the perfectly normal beast. The Morlocks had two groups of fighters. These two groups were gender-split, for the Morlocks were stereotypical sexists. The female fighters found in the field, having telepathic powers, and being able to sense when the Eloi were manipulating electricity. The other group were male fighters, staying behind at their home base, building a sort of chemical/WMD warfare. They built minature nuclear devices to put into the Eloi's food, causing explosions as their food was digested. Today, no true Eloi or true Morlock still remains, but their legacy still remains. A wooden plaque carved by M.E. Trivimycel can be found in the exact center of the wooden knight in the Bala Cynwyd Library. The plaque reads: "I hath found seven mice, but thou shall not wont for men." This is obviously a coded cypher in the secret language shared only by the Eloi and Morlocks. Hopefully, one day the plaque will be discovered and the message decoded.
