The Shield's Final Chapter è stato un evento speciale di wrestling organizzato dalla World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in esclusiva per il WWE Network. L'evento si è svolto il 21 aprile 2019 al TaxSlayer Center di Moline (Illinois).
L'evento ha segnato l'ultima apparizione ufficiale dello Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns e Seth Rollins) in WWE prima dell'abbandono di Dean Ambrose dalla federazione.
Antefatto
L'evento ha ospitato l'ultimo match dello Shield, stable composta da Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns e Seth Rollins, che si è sciolto in seguito all'abbandono di Ambrose dalla WWE.
Infatti, il 29 gennaio 2019 Ambrose ha deciso di non rinnovare il proprio contratto con la WWE (in scadenza ad aprile). Il mese dopo, Reigns è tornato dopo la sua lotta contro la leucemia e il 10 marzo, a Fastlane, lo Shield si è riunito per affrontare Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley e Drew McIntyre, sconfiggendoli.[1] Nonostante questo fosse stato sponsorizzato come l'ultima match dello Shield, un ultimo match è stato annunciato per l'evento The Shield's Final Chapter, come ultimo incontro ufficiale della stable prima dell'abbandono di Ambrose.
I match ufficiali della card sono stati unicamente tre, mentre prima di tali incontri si sono svolti quattro Dark match.
