Timeline of Cosmological Eras

This timeline shows the evolution of the cosmos through known marker events, giving us cosmological eras. Time is generally marked off in cosmological decades or in seconds.

Time 10-43 to 10-37

Inflationary Epoch

Grand Unification Epoch

Time 10-35 to 10-12 seconds

Electroweak Epoch

Time 10-12 to 10-6 seconds

Hadron Epoch

Time 10-6 to 1 seconds

Lepton Epoch

Time 1 to 180 seconds
