Country-level music stubs

Propose creating more country-level music stubs. We have a few, but missing some large ones. The intent of any templates is to tag stub music genres or style articles that may be specific to one country. Where possible, more specific templates should be used. Note that the "musical group" categories are sometimes placed inside the "music biography" categories. I would argue that a group breaks the concept of individual biographies.

Both the stub and permanent category for the Lamiinae are poorly sorted. Propose the following exploratory stub templates. Since many of these permanent categories will be filled at the same time as the stub category, its difficult to judge which ones may be filled to capacity. Propose categories for all which pass 60 articles.

Weak support for cats, but oppose templates. Not really sure why you'd want to make templates. Container categories, fine, but as things stand there are only two stubs which would take a NorthIsland-geo-stub and none which would take a SouthIsland-geo-stub. You'd also run into problems with Category:Southland, New Zealand geography stubs, since Southland includes both part of the South Island and all of Stewart Island, NZ's third-largest island. I appreciate that this is stale, but nonetheless, oppose. This doesn't really feel necessary. All the regions have their own standalone subcats with 60+ articles, so what needs tidying up? It's only 16, not as if we're dealing with hundreds of them; all the results appear on one page. There is no other NZ stub cat that I can see which splits them into north/south island. National bridge-struct-stub types

I propose creating bridge-struct-stub tags for any country which currently doesn't have one (e.g {{Chile-bridge-struct-stub}}), upmerged to the continent-level bridge (structure) categories (create these where the category doesn't exist, if there are enough in the continent), as well as the national building and structure stub category and the transport(ation) stub category, if each one exists. Category:Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha stubs

Speedy request. The current Category:Saint Helena stubs is a properly supportable category. But it is overpopulated with extra templates. So leave {{SaintHelena-stub}} and {{SaintHelena-geo-stub}} in the Saint Helena category (with 85 pages total), but upmerge the current category to the SH, A & TdC category. Move these templates to the new category:

Closer investigation shows that {{SaintHelena-stub}} and {{SaintHelena-geo-stub}} can apply to the larger area. (This is also done with other areas, for instance Trinidad and Tobago tags simply state Trinidad, but can apply to both) Thus, I'm going to cancel this proposal and go through WP:CFD to rename the category. Even though we have an overpopulated Category:Svalbard geography stubs, there is no parent category to put this in. Propose template {{Svalbard-stub}} and category Category:Svalbard stubs. The category will pick up the aforementioned geography category as well as existing template {{Svalbard-church-stub}}. I propose that the Category:Haliplidae stubs is created. It will contain 20 articles (nearly all the articles in the Category:Haliplidae). Gug01 (talk) 15:42, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Oppose. There is already an upmerged template for this family. As noted, the template has not been adequately filled (please see guidelines above), and the parent (Category:Adephaga stubs) does not need splitting at this time.
