Nuevo Laredo is a city in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico.
It stands on the border with the United States, connected to Laredo, Texas across the Rio Grande (Rio Bravo) river by three international bridges. The city is larger than its U.S. counterpart, but is younger, having been established after the state of Texas broke away from Mexico. It is the largest inland port in Mexico, as is its American counterpart.
