Hi everyone, a short notice. On 19 March 15:00 UTC your wiki will briefly be in read-only mode. That means that you’ll be able to read it, but not edit. This is because of network maintenance. It will last up to 15 minutes, but probably shorter. You can read more on Phabricator (phab:T217441, phab:T187960), or write on my talk page if you’ve got any questions. /Johan (WMF) (msg) 15:45, 5 mar 2019 (CET)Rispondi

Salve! On German, Czech and Slovak Wikipedia there is the blackout planned on 21st of March 2019 because of the EU Copyright Directive. The thing is that we prepared our own page on Slovak Wikipedia which we thought would be displayed during the blackout as the only page (similarly to your page in July 2018). But then users from Czech Wikipedia told us that we can only do the translation of template on Meta that is going to be shown on the day of the blackout. My question is how did you do the blackout on Italian Wikipedia in July 2018 from the technical side? Did you create your own page? Thanks for all the answers, --Lišiak (msg) 22:19, 19 mar 2019 (CET)Rispondi

Poca trasparenza in Wikipedia Italia

Cordiali saluti --Maxmarwiki (msg) 23:38, 5 apr 2019 (CEST) --Maxmarwiki (msg) 23:38, 5 apr 2019 (CEST)Rispondi

Information to be published on Wikipedia about Dr. Giuseppe Cotellessa

I ask if it is possible to publish the following information about Dr. Giuseppe Cotellessa on Wikipedia:

" Dr. Giuseppe Cotellessa is inventor of original patent procedure ENEA RM2012A000637

The procedure of the ENEA patent RM2012A000637 constitutes the first international procedure that manages to unify time-space-energy in a single three-dimensional graph for the objective interpretation of reality. It starts from the same conceptual assumption underlying the Cubism of Pablo Picasso and could objectively interpret the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. As well as interpreting in an objective way the musical genius of Beethoven and the literary genius of Dante Alighieri. Unify the philosophy of Plato with that of Aristotle. Objectively interpreting the masterpiece of Michelangelo's Pietà.

It will be able to get back to winning the Ferrari cars in Formula 1 on a regular basis.

In the laboratory, he is building the first prototype at an international level based on the patent process. The companies on average sent estimates for 80,000 euros. I purchased, after a proper study, material for 100 euros, and with the help of colleagues ENEA in time lost and free of charge he is proceeding with the construction of the first prototype.

It is a silent revolution, however it is always a revolution.

It is possible to search in Google's search engine "Genius Cotellessa" about Dr. Giuseppe Cotellessa information.

WP:Fonti --Torque (scrivimi!) 11:41, 22 mag 2019 (CEST)Rispondi

A question

I just saw in my inbox on the english wiki that a change had been made to the discussion page of my profile on the Italian one. I don't speak Italian. But here's the change: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discussioni_utente:Luredreier May I ask what that is about?

It is only a Welcome message written by a bot. I have a question for you too :), just to make that message clearer: did you read the English message in the bottom part?. user:Luredreier--Pierpao.lo (listening) 17:56, 5 giu 2019 (CEST)Rispondi
Well, yes...
The only part of the message from the bot that I understood was "Hello and welcome to the Italian Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions. If your Italian skills are not good enough, that’s no problem. We have an embassy where you can inquire for further information in your native language or you can contact directly a user in your language. We hope you enjoy your time here!"
What I don't get though is why I got a message from the bot in the first place... As I've never done anything on the Italian Wiki to my knowlege...
The closest thing I can think of to a reason for the bot to even care about me is that I visited a Italian wiki page about a political party a while ago... But that was just reading the article, I didn't make any modifications or write in the discussion or anything of that sort... Luredreier (msg) 00:21, 6 giu 2019 (CEST)Rispondi
Yes Luredreier, that's the reason: as explained here, reading an article on a wiki you've never visited before is enough to automatically create your local account on that wiki, and that's why you received the welcome message. The same thing happened to me on fr.wiki. However, it's nothing to worry about :)--EquiMinus (Codec) 11:36, 6 giu 2019 (CEST)Rispondi
It happened to me too, and it confused me a little, as I have never made a contribution to the Italian Wikipedia (nor do I even speak Italian, apart from a few tourist words. Google Translate does, though :-P ). --IByte (msg) 10:38, 6 lug 2019 (CEST)Rispondi

Movement Strategy online surveys - opportunity to share your thoughts about reworking movement structures

I apologize for posting this message in English. Feel free to translate!

Community conversations are an integral part of movement strategy “Wikimedia 2030”. They have been ongoing in multiple formats and in numerous languages over the last 2.5 years. Now it is possible to also contribute to the development of recommendations on structural change via an online survey. We are keeping the survey open for additional 2 weeks and post it to wikis to provide wider opportunities to participate for people interested in it.

The survey is available in 8 languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. They contain designated questions about each of the nine thematic areas that the working groups are analyzing and drafting recommendations for. You can freely choose the thematic areas you want to contribute and respond to. The survey questions have been created and designed by the members of the working groups.

Here is the link to the survey.

Here you can find more information about the survey.

With any questions, please contact me on my meta user talk page.

--Ferdi2005 (Posta) 00:59, 11 set 2019 (CEST)Rispondi

Hi, I've just received on my discussion page a welcome message from an Italian member. At least, it is what I understood through the English translation part of the message. As I do not understand the Italien language, I can not give him a thank-you-answer message. I don't know yet how to reach any Wikipedia member, in either Franch (my mother language)or English (the only other language I can speak and use). As soon as I will be able to better understand the working of the Wikipedia interface, it will be my pleasure to bring my contribution, in any way I can, and I intend to do it the best way possible. Thank you in advance to anybody who can help me in this way.

Mother of Raimondo Orsini del Balzo

Eleonora_d'Aragona_(1450-1493)#Ascendenza said mother of Raimondo Orsini del Balzo is someone called "Maria Del Balzo". Though also appeared in several articles, this conflicts with Raimondo Del Balzo Orsini. It is also said that the "Maria Del Balzo" is a daughter of Raimondo del Balzo (XIV secolo), who actually has no children.--GZWDer (msg) 23:06, 12 dic 2019 (CET)Rispondi

Translation of Jan de Lichte

I apologize if I'm totally off posting this here. I speak zero Italian. But I'm hoping someone who does and can also read this message would be willing to help me. There is an article on Jan de Lichte that is only available in Flemish and Italian. I would be incredibly grateful if someone were interested in translating that page into English, as well.

Unfortunately the article in Italian is really short (only one phrase, you could easily translate with automated translation services); better to ask in the nl.wiki. --Marcok (msg) 10:34, 18 gen 2020 (CET)Rispondi

To this end, we are looking to speak with you, our community to learn about your journey as a Wikimedia volunteer. Whether you joined yesterday or have been here from the very start, we want to hear about the many ways volunteers join and contribute to our movement.

To learn more about the project, please visit the Meta page. If you are interested in participating in the project, please complete this simple Google form. Additional interface for edit conflicts on talk pages

Sorry, for writing this text in English. If you could help to translate it, it would be appreciated.

You might know the new interface for edit conflicts (currently a beta feature). Now, Wikimedia Germany is designing an additional interface to solve edit conflicts on talk pages. This interface is shown to you when you write on a discussion page and another person writes a discussion post in the same line and saves it before you do. With this additional editing conflict interface you can adjust the order of the comments and edit your comment. We are inviting everyone to have a look at the planned feature. Ciao. Apologies if you are not reading this message in your native language. Aiutaci a tradurre nella tua lingua if necessary. Grazie!

There are a lot of conversations happening about the future of our movement names. We hope that you are part of these discussions and that your community is represented.

Un questione - perché --- now I ran out of Italian so I'll continue in English - it was very nice to be greeted by a welcome from the Italian part of Wikipedia, and it made me curious how it came about? I know I was reading an article in Italian, but I don't think I was making any editing. The same thing actually happened to me the other day when I was checking something out in the Egyptian Arabic section. So how does this work (with the greetings) - just out of curiosity?

Thanks in advance, Planetariat (msg)
