Welcome to the wonderful world of Wikipedia.

Can you give us more details of this dial, or a photo of it in context. Reclining dials are not common, and as Recife is Latitude 8 deg south- is this a really north recliner? Is this a direct recliner (ie faces due N,S)?

My reference is always Waugh, Sundials and their construction 0-486-22947-5. p100.

The picture of the sundial is very pretty, but the ___location is confusing to me ... having the Forbidden City pic there is great, because that shows me what an equatorial sundial is. But this one above it confuses me and I don't know how it relates to the content of the article. In fact I think it's very problematic, because someone might think this is "equatorial" (which would have the gnomon perpendicular) and hence misunderstand what an equatorial sundial is. Unless you can put it in a better place with context I think it's the article more confusing. Maybe you can move it and put in more description? -Madeleine 11:20, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've moved it to the "inclining dials" section, where maybe it belongs? Since that section mentions reclining dials. -Madeleine 19:41, 18 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
