Westopolis is a fictional city in the Sonic the Hedgehog of video games.

Shadow the Hedgehog
Westopolis is the first city (and level) to appear in Shadow the Hedgehog. It is also the first ___location the evil Black Arms aliens strike at. Shadow observes this all impassively from a grassy field outside the city while pondering his identity. It is here Black Doom meets with Shadow via holographic projection created by Doom's Eye.
As with most levels in the game, Westopolis has a Hero, Neutral, and Dark goal. The Hero goal is to help Sonic the Hedgehog destroy all the Black Arms invading the city, the Neutral goal is to simply reach the goal ring, andnd the Dark goal is to kill every G.U.N soldier in the city.
The city has a spooky kind of feeling, because of the dark background, metal sounding background music, and they grey/black, partially demolished buildings. Also, the Black Arms' strange glowing red fruit, the invading aliens themselves, as well as the tremendous lasers which are continously raining from the sky add to the spooky affect the city has on players of previous, more upbeat Sonic games.
Trivia
- In the opening sequence just before the player goes to Westopolis, it is daytime (albeit it seems to be near twilight), however once in the level it is either nightime, or the large dark cloud which the Black Arms came out of darkened the sky.
