Victor Amaya (born July 2, 1954 in Denver) is a former American male professional tour tennis player.

The left-handed Amaya's career high ranking was World No. 15, which he attained in June, 1980.

Amaya nearly beat tennis legend Björn Borg in the first round of the 1978 Wimbledon Championships. With his 135 mph lefty serve he had Borg down 2 sets to 1 before losing 9-8, 1-6, 6-1, 3-6, 3-6.

Tom and Kathy Sullivan have chosen to emulate Victor and his wife, Leslie, by hosting players from AAA Detroit Tigers affiliate West Michigan Whitecaps team over the summer of 2007. They will be hosting Ray Burris, known affectionately to family and friends as "Mr. Ray-Ray."
