I have a great hunger for knowledge of any sort. My favourite subjects are history, psychology, and sociology, though I read anything that I can get my hands on. I am also interested in medicine, genealogy and other technical subjects. Additionally, computers are my life work. I am in my early twenties, female, and live in Kentucky.

"Devil" John Wright, also known as "Bad" John and "Tall Sycamore of the Elkhorn", a prominent figure in Eastern Kentucky (Letcher County), b.1844 - d.1931, bounty hunter, Sherriff of Wise County, VA, Confederate army (Civil war), Pinkerton agent, Robinson circus sharpshooter (with uncle Martin Van Buren Bates), and so on. He is also very prominent in geneology research in the Eastern KY area (having had over thirty children). John Fox Jr. wrote "Trail of the Lonesome Pine" with "Devil" John Wright as the basis for character Devil Judd Tolliver. (Existing related articles are Martin Van Buren Bates, John Fox Jr., The Trail of the Lonesome Pine, and one regarding another blood-relation, author Harry Caudill.
