Updating this template

When updating this page after a new release of iOS, please update all instances of the version (x3), date (x2) and reference (x2). It is likely that {{Current iPadOS}} will need updating too.

References should cite first-party Apple.com web pages (found at support.apple.com/121161 and support.apple.com/100100).

When transitioning to a new major release (i.e., when a new release is announced at WWDC), if any models are stuck on the current release, create a new #switch tree for those models first, and apply that new parameter to all relevant articles before updating this template for the newer release. (Eg: In 2026, iOS 26 will be replaced by iOS 27, and a new tree may be needed for 26.)
