Soundtrack from the Motion Picture: HAIRSPRAY contains the songs from the New Line Cinema film Hairspray. The album is likely to be released concurrently with the film. [1] New Line Cinema has confirmed that there will be about 17 tracks on the soundtrack. [2]


Soundtrack on iTunes

As of May 15, Zac Efron's single, Ladies' Choice, is now available as both an audio & video clip on iTunes. It is still unknown what date the complete soundtrack will be available on iTunes.

    • "Mama I'm A Big Girl Now", originally in the musical, is cut from the film, however it may run over the credits of the movie or may be featured as a bonus-track on the soundtrack)
    • On the May 16th edition of The Oprah Winfrey Show, they showed a clip of the movie with The Dyanmites singing a song on "The Corny Collins Show's" Negro Day. The name of the song is unknown and if it will be featured on the soundtrack.
