Lithium è il titolo di una nota canzone dei Nirvana apparsa per la prima volta nell'album Nevermind. La canzone apparve per la prima volta nell' album Nevermind, il testo fu scritto dal leader della band Kurt Cobain.

Il nome della canzone è generalmente attribuito all'uso di litio come stabilizzatore dell'umore, infatti il testo è spesso interpretato come una descrizione del disturo bipolare. Cobain affermava di essere affetto da disturbo bipolare e per questo avrebbe scritto la canzone, ma ci sono comunque molte incertezze riguardo alla giusta interpretazione del testo.
