Cailleach

Nella mitologia irlandese e scozzese la Cailleach (letteralmente "donna vecchia"), anche nota come la Cailleach Bheur, è una strega divina, una divinità creatrice, un'antica divinità o anche un antenato divino. La figura della Cailleach è stata ripresa in numerosi personaggi della mitologia irlandese, scozzese e dell'Isola di Man. ^[2]

Ceann na Cailleach ("Testa di Strega"), il punto più meridionale delle Scogliere di Moher in Irlanda. Una delle tante località che prendono il nome dalla Cailleach.^[1]
