Requests for IP check

  • Vandal and attack accounts may be listed here for the purpose identifying and blocking the underlying IP address or open proxy. Requests to confirm sockpuppets of known users should be listed in the sockpuppet section above.
  • If you already know the IP address of the suspected open proxy, list it at Wikipedia:Open Proxies instead.
  • Use === Subsections ===, do not create subpages.
  • List user names using the {{checkuser|username}} template. Add new reports to the top of the section.
  • Requests may be acted on or declined according to the discretion of the checkuser admins. Responses will be noted here.
  • Answered requests will be moved to Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/IP check/Archive for 7 days, after which they will be deleted. No separate archive (other than the page history) will be maintained.

Billy Ego

Banned user Billy Ego is back, and identifiable by behavior alone. David Gerard checkusered the top one, employing the words "UUnet national dialup" and "/10." I didn't want to disappoint him with my lack of technical knowledge, especially as he was busy anyways and was going out of his way to check it, but I don't know what either of those means. Is there an underlying IP that can be blocked to prevent continued disruption? (See history of Wikipedia:Ignore all rules.) Picaroon (Talk) 01:45, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

no Declined Nope. Sorry. Checkuser can't be helpful here. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 05:51, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BuickCenturyDriver

Due to today's page incident of a self-admitted compromised account vandalism. I am requesting that this user's IP be blocked, if in fact it is BCD. Real96 21:22, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In all likelihood, this is not BCD. If Saldwynd's attack is anything like the previous attacks, then the IP behind this is probably an open proxy. Sean William 21:23, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Red X Unrelated - No relation, it's a proxy with a history of trolling and vandalism. Dmcdevit·t 21:47, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please block the proxy since it has a history of vandalism? Real96 08:10, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
