Why give concessions to cranks and cooks?

The text said that the centre of "Svea rike" (still a name for the country, isn't it?) was "allegedly at Old Uppsala". Based on WP:FRINGE and WP:OR, I strongly disagree with such concessions to cranks and cooks in Västergötland. As long as the Götaland theory has never been accepted by professional historians, it is verboten on Wikipedia to make such concessions to that "school".--Berig 19:10, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
