Elliot Page
Ellen Philpotts-Page (Halifax, 21 febbraio 1987) è un'attrice canadese.
È nota soprattutto per essere la protagonista di Juno, Hard Candy e per aver interpretato Kitty Pryde (conosciuta anche come Shadowcat) in X-Men: Conflitto finale. Precedentemente era conosciuta soprattutto in Canada per i ruoli interpretati in diverse serie televisive nazionali.
Biografia
È nata in Nuova Scozia, una regione del Canada. Ha frequentato tre diverse scuole prima di diplomarsi nel 2005.
Ha iniziato a studiare recitazione alla Neptune Theatre School. La sua prima apparizione avviene all'età di 11 anni nel film per la TV (trasformato poi in una serie) Pit Pony. Questa le permise di ottenere piccoli ruoli in film e serie televisive canadesi. A sedici anni ottenne un ruolo nel film indipendente Mouth to Mouth, che rafforzò la sua posizione fra le giovani attrici canadesi più promettenti.
Nel 2005 interpreta una quattordicenne che incontra e uccide un pedofilo nel duro thriller Hard Candy. Nel 2007 è la protagonista principale di Juno. L'interpretazione le vale la candidatura al Premio Oscar come miglior attrice protagonista.
